Why is that pose so hard for me?

Have you ever wondered why you can't fold flat like a pancake in certain yoga poses? Or why balancing on one leg is so challenging for you? The structure of our bodies impacts how we are able to do certain poses in our practice, yet we often feel "less than" if we can't perform certain poses to the exact shape we perceive to be "correct". Come learn why certain body types are able to do some poses better than others! This workshop is going to be fun and interactive. We will look at different body types doing certain poses to better understand why some things are easier than others for different people. You won't want to miss this! It may help you be kinder to yourself and to better understand and appreciate the strengths of your body type!

Strong Back Workshop

Come learn ways to protect your back and feel good in your yoga practice! We will explore ways to strengthen your back, including areas that support and surround your back, such as the abdominal muscles and hip stabilizers. In addition, we will break down certain poses, such as twists and forward folds, and explore the position of your body to see where you feel most comfortable in the pose. If you have ever experienced back pain during your yoga practice, this will be a great workshop for you!
